Obria Medical Clinic (formerly known as Pregnancy Resource Center of Gwinnett) is a non-profit located in Lawrenceville, Georgia that was founded over 40 years ago. It provides professional medical care and education for men’s, women’s and families’ optimal health. Obria also offers optimal health education courses in the local community to help support healthy decision-making through budgeting, sexual education, career development and more.
Obria serves the local community with a variety of pre- and postnatal care, optimal health education and women’s health services. While the majority of their patients live under the poverty line, they are committed to empowering expecting mothers with the proper care they need to deliver a healthy baby. In fact, Obria is the only clinic that provides free and low cost prenatal care to all of their patients.
They are able to offer free care to their patients through the kind donations and support from the local community.
Along with traditional prenatal care, Obria has partnered with March of Dimes to offer group sessions for women with similar due dates to help support the pre and postnatal phase. Their commitment to the community and education speaks volumes to the lives they impact daily, monthly and annually through their services. The education they offer the community includes budgeting, parenting, career, job planning, decision-making and more.
When a new mother-to-be enters into care, they are paired with a Patient Care Advocate (that supports with any current external situations) and a Nurse (which supports all medical needs). Their mission is to create a safe and healthy environment for the mother and baby to thrive.
Obria delivers at Northside Gwinnett Hospital and has a dedicated OBGYN and NP dedicated to serving their patients.
FoneLogix provides Obria with a new phone system for their office. Some of the key elements of the new system that help their daily operations run much smoother is a dedicated phone tree for patients when they call their main line. This ensures the caller gets to the right person or department without any errors. It in turn frees up the front desk from answering these calls and they can keep their attention on the patients in the clinic.
Also, Obria staff members now have the ability to customize their own voicemail messages which allows patients to leave messages and for nurses and doctors to return those calls at their convenience. The new system also allows for answering services to be transferred to their cell phones when not in the office, providing the perfect remote solution, which is especially needed in today’s evolving environment. Obria will soon be utilizing the Business Text Messaging services to even further support their business and patients.
Obria Medical Clinic in Lawrenceville never shut their doors during the pandemic. They knew how important their services are to the local community, especially during a time such as this, and continued to serve their communities and families. In fact, they were even busier than normal since so many other clinics and offices were closed. Obria served over 3,000 patients in 2021 despite COVID challenges and saw 118 patients for prenatal care.
