Unified Communications (UC) Client

What is Unified Communications?

Unified communications, or UC, is a set of products that provides a consistent, unified user experience across many types of devices and media. Unified communications describe the integration of enterprise communication services with other common unified messaging services such as integrated voicemailemailSMS, and fax.

These integrated enterprise communication services can include:
  1. chat
  2. voice
  3. mobile
  4. audio
  5. web & video conferencing
  6. fixed-mobile convergence
  7. desktop and data sharing
  8. call control
  9. speech recognition

Unified communications is an umbrella for all forms of communications that are exchanged over a network with other forms of communications like Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) and digital signage. These services become part of the distribution of the network communications and can be directed either as 1-to-1 communications or a broadcast from one to many.
